The best battery bank I have ever had. The design is great. Awesome Charging
Prompt delivery and works awesomely
Update:Customer support still has not responded to my request, even though it's been almost 3 full business days (5 days total). Meanwhile, I have received a replacement from Amazon, which works exactly as expected. It really is a nice piece of gear, but I'm changing my 1-star rating to just 4-stars -- knocked off a star due to poor customer support.Original Review:Immediately after unboxing, step one is to charge the power bank. I understand that this unit needs to be connected with a USB cable to get an initial charge before being able to use the included charging base.Upon plugging into a high-power USB-C charger (an Anker PowerPort Atom PD 4, capable of supplying up to 100W), the unit appears to boot, then the display shows "charging" with a battery level at 1%. I left this alone for at least an hour, only to find that it was still at 1%. And HOT! The unit was so hot that I could hardly touch it.I attempted a number of troubleshooting steps (which I don't feel like describing here), and determined that my unit was defective.I contacted support and provided as much information as I had, including photos and a video demonstrating the problem as requested. An hour later, I receive a response from an AI bot asking me to perform basic troubleshooting steps and include additional information -- all items that I had already included in my initial request.Evidently, support has "bankers' hours," as I have not received any further communication over the weekend. So, I decided to pursue a replacement through Amazon instead, and if Anker ever responds, I will be asking them to disregard the support request.I own many, many Anker products, and I have always been overly satisfied with the quality and performance, so perhaps I am not being fair with this one -- I realize this experience might be rare.I will update this review after I receive the replacement. I have no doubt the replacement will work well, just as all my other Anker products have.
Anker has, in the past, had legendary customer service and I don't think you can go wrong with most Anker products. I do love this Power Bank, the monster 250w will handle almost anything you throw at it and is invaluable when traveling or away from power for extended periods of time. the App is incredibly helpful to monitor statistics and help calculate charging times and remaining charges, even the find my option is a nice addition incase you lose it, although that is bluetooth controlled and only as useful as being within range since its sound based. It certainly is the only power bank you'll likely ever need but I can't help but think its a bit over kill with some redundant features I question it needed at all. for starters it is rather weighty, somewhat obvious to the fact that it have a huge capacity but if you travel it will take up a ton of weight. The small screen seems a little gimmicky considering that it also has an app, and most won't need to know, or care about the statistics and finally the find my being somewhat useless in most case scenarios as if I have lost it, its unlikely to be in the same vicinity as me.I'm not saying these features are useless but I can't help but think they are only there to justify the price. Most other powerbanks do the same without the need of an app and screen, but you can't deny, it does it very well and so far has been a must have for the sheer amount of power alone. Overall I think its a beast of a power bank as long as you can justify the cost.
